Behavior Intervention Specialist

At Current USA, we are seeking a skilled Behavior Intervention Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing innovative and expansive services to individuals with Autism, developmental disabilities, and other special needs.

As a Behavior Intervention Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting functional assessments, developing and implementing behavior support plans, and providing training and support to staff. You will also work closely with our Speech Language Pathologist to develop and implement functional communication programs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Completing screening, initial, and annual assessments to ensure accurate and timely paperwork
  • Conducting functional assessments to inform behavior support planning
  • Developing and implementing behavior support plans based on positive behavior support principles
  • Providing training and support to staff on behavior support strategies
  • Collaborating with our Speech Language Pathologist to develop and implement functional communication programs

Requirements for this role include a Master's degree in Psychology or Special Education, as well as at least one year of experience providing behavioral support in the DD/ID field.
