Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Specialist CRP to join our team at Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI). As a key member of our Children's Residential Programs (CRP) team, you will be responsible for providing technology instruction and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement technology assessments and curriculum for individuals in CRP
  • Provide technology instruction and support to staff and individuals in CRP
  • Manage technology materials and equipment, ensuring they are available, cleaned, repaired, and properly used
  • Establish and maintain user accounts, security, and passwords for EHR systems
  • Work with teams to reduce paper systems and increase the use of Smart Home technology
  • Collaborate with Speech Pathologists and Behavior Specialists to incorporate technology into programming and service delivery
  • Lead and manage DDI CRP-related technology projects
  • Pursue grants and funding for technology and special projects within Children's Residential Services
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Special Education, Speech, or a related field
  • Fluency in programming a range of devices, including iTouch, iPad, and similar devices
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Ability to work with developmentally disabled individuals
  • Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Experience in technology-based instruction and use of tools and equipment associated with said instruction
