Position Overview:

The Healthcare Consultant will play an integral role in supporting the delivery of consulting services within the Strategy and Emerging Initiatives (SEI) practice area. This position offers an opportunity to engage in impactful projects that improve public sector healthcare delivery, with a focus on Medicaid and behavioral health programs.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of various project tasks, including data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Conduct research on healthcare policies, industry trends, and best practices
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations, contributing to discussions and providing support in addressing client needs and queries
  • Prepare project documentation, including meeting notes, status reports, and client deliverables
  • Work closely with project leads and other consultants to ensure cohesive and coordinated project execution

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of state and federal health care policies and regulations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Experience with health information technology systems and concepts is a plus
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in public health, healthcare administration, business, or a related field. Masters degree preferred
  • Internship or equivalent working experience in health care or related field preferred; 3-4 years of experience in healthcare consulting or a related field, with a focus on public sector healthcare strongly preferred
