Clinical Quality Consultant

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Clinical Quality Consultant to coordinate quality, accreditation, regulatory, and licensing activities for our medical center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality management and be able to provide clinical, educational, and consulting support to assigned areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a consultant for quality, accreditation, regulatory, and risk management activities and programs.
- Assist with quality management studies through data collection, data input, and report development.
- Analyze, interpret, and provide recommendations based on quality principles.
- Organize and coordinate project planning, group process facilitation, training, and the application of information technology.
- Report all occurrences that may lead to medical center liability and follow up as necessary.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration for the implementation of evidence-based guidelines, criteria, and other clinical tools to reduce variation in clinical practice and optimize clinical outcomes.
- Provide support services to medical center staff in implementing risk management principles into credentialing processes.
- Participate in special projects as assigned, such as statistical reports for state, federal, and local agencies.
Requirements:
- Minimum three years of combined experience in quality, risk management, patient safety, infection prevention, accreditation/regulation, licensing, or operational clinical leadership in a healthcare setting.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, business administration, economics, healthcare administration, operation research, public health administration, or a related field.
- Registered Nurse License (California) required at hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of experience working in quality operations in an acute care setting.
- Quality/Risk/Patient Safety/Just Culture/Project Management/Lean/IP certification.
- Masters degree preferred.
