Job Summary

A Service Desk Technician plays a vital role in providing technical assistance and support to end-users within the organization. This position will focus on ensuring high levels of end-user satisfaction for Trew teammates in the manufacturing area and across the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Escalate critical issues to the IT Operations Supervisor and Director of IT.
  • Provide technical assistance to internal Trew manufacturing teammates.
  • Support multiple users and their equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Research and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Support remote teammates at home or at offsite customer locations.
  • Work directly with various teammates in different disciplines and work environments.
  • Log support issues and their resolution in the ticketing system.
  • Identify and suggest process improvements to boost company productivity.
  • Perform routine system management and updates for IT technology.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating documentation for service desk processes.
  • Take part in the onboarding and offboarding of Trew teammates.
Requirements
  • Good working knowledge of IT end-user systems, software, and processes.
  • Experience with ticketing systems.
  • Familiarity with IT security best practices and compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of Zebra label printers and Android-based tablets is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications are desirable.
Work Environment

This is primarily a desk-based role, requiring extended periods of sitting and computer use. While the role is mainly desk-based, mobility within the office, manufacturing facility, and customer sites may be required for meetings and interactions with colleagues.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Ability to traverse office, manufacturing facility, and customer sites.
