Renal Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Renal Care Specialist in an acute hospital setting. This is a dynamic role that requires the ability to work effectively with patients who have end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease.
Job DescriptionThis position involves providing compassionate care to patients with complex medical needs, requiring flexibility and adaptability. As a key member of the interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities- Deliver specialty nephrology care to patients in an acute hospital setting
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on renal-related topics
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current RN license in the state of practice
- Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N); three-year diploma from accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree
- Experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (Med Surg) preferred
- Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) certification an asset
