We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Project Engineer to lead the engineering effort for our Air Combat Test and Training (ACTT) Department. As a key member of our Mission Systems team, you will be responsible for developing state-of-the-art products for cryptographic, datalink, networking, and command and control applications.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the engineering team to design, develop, and test complex systems for air combat maneuvering instrumentation (ACMI) and other mission-critical applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate, test, and produce military avionics and radios.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including engineering, operations, suppliers, and program management.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret Security Clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience with the manufacture and production of complex Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) or Line Replaceable Units (LRUs).
- Proven exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
- Background as Control Account Manager (CAM) using earned value management.
- Experience with the integration, test, and production of military avionics or radios.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills and action-oriented problem solver.
