Job Summary

El Centro Del Barrio seeks a highly skilled Payroll Supervisor to manage all payroll activities and maintain accurate records. The successful candidate will work closely with the accounting department to ensure timely and efficient processing of payroll billings and reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the accounting department in organizing and directing the maintenance of the accounting system.
  • Support payroll requirements for program and fiscal reviews to ensure compliance with funding.
  • Follow procedural requirements and internal controls under the direction of the CFO and accounting management.
  • Process payroll accurately and efficiently, and assist employees with payroll-related inquiries.
  • Monitor payroll accounts payable, payroll accounts receivable, and payroll records for proper processing and recording.
  • Prepare individual payroll payments and payroll reports for submission to external agencies.
  • Provide technical and supportive assistance to the accounting, billing, and bookkeeping staff.
  • Prepare specialized reports and complete specialized projects as requested by management.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Five or more years of experience as a bookkeeper or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting can be substituted for five years of experience. Associates Degree in Accounting can be substituted for two years of experience.
  • Knowledge of automated accounting systems, word processing programs, and spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to meet the essential functions of the position, including attendance requirements and communication with staff and the public.
