GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Environmental Services Associate is an integral member of the Housekeeping Department, responsible for maintaining the daily cleanliness of the facility.



Key Responsibilities of Environmental Services

  • Conducts cleaning and organization (including vacuuming, mopping, polishing, etc.) of rooms, offices, and communal areas. Ensures residents' spaces are safe, comfortable, and visually appealing.
  • Rearranges resident furniture and equipment as instructed by the Supervisor.
  • Cleans dining areas post-meal service and follows the established weekly cleaning schedule for these areas.
  • Follows all safety protocols regarding cleaning chemical hazards, as indicated on product labels.
  • Engages with residents and their families, co-workers, clinical, and ancillary staff in a respectful and supportive manner.
  • Assists in the orientation of new staff members as needed.

Additional Responsibilities
Performs tasks that support the essential functions of the role, which may be modified or adjusted based on specific circumstances. Undertakes other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Training: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
