We are seeking a dedicated Thoracic Surgery Care Specialist to join our team at Penn State Health. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to provide exceptional care and support to patients undergoing thoracic surgery.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced medical team to provide pre and post-operative care to patients, including test interpretation and patient referral under the supervision of the surgeon. A Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) certification is required for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care and support during the surgical process
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff as needed
  • Conduct pre and post-operative tests and evaluations
  • Collaborate with the medical team to develop effective patient care plans
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • RNFA certification required
  • Experience working in a thoracic surgery setting preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $93,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, and more.
