Medical Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Medical Care Specialist to join our team at PennState Health. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule and 36 hours per week.
About the Role:The Medical Care Specialist will assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain accurate medical records. The ideal candidate will administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients, advising them on health maintenance and disease prevention.
Responsibilities:- Administer medications to patients while monitoring for reactions and side effects
- Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records
- Assess patient health problems and needs
- Develop and implement nursing care plans
To be successful in this role, you must have a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse by the state of employment or hold a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred. You must also possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification prior to completion of orientation.
