Position Overview


SOS International LLC is seeking an Immigration Legal Support Specialist to join our dedicated team. This role is integral to providing assistance in humanitarian projects aimed at supporting individuals in navigating their legal journeys.

The Immigration Legal Support Specialist will be responsible for offering essential guidance to clients regarding their immigration matters, ensuring they receive the necessary support to address their legal challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients in monitoring the status of their immigration cases.
  • Maintain comprehensive and precise records of all case-related activities and communications.
  • Ensure prompt follow-up on case developments and necessary actions.
  • Provide referrals to suitable legal service providers based on individual client needs.
  • Track and oversee the status of referrals to guarantee timely assistance for clients.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with legal service providers and community organizations.
  • Guide clients in managing their online immigration accounts.
  • Offer legal information regarding the completion and submission of required forms and documents, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
  • Conduct initial evaluations of clients' legal needs and supply relevant information and resources.
  • Advocate for clients with legal service providers as required.
  • Deliver compassionate and culturally sensitive support to clients throughout their legal processes.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on case statuses, referrals, and outcomes.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure all activities adhere to legal and organizational standards.
  • Implement best practices in case management and client support.
Minimum Qualifications


A Bachelor’s degree in social work, legal studies, or a related field, or four (4) years of experience in legal services, immigration assistance, or case management is required.

Experience working with vulnerable populations is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of immigration laws and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Capability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • Proficient in utilizing case management software and online immigration tools.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills are preferred.

The role requires the ability to work efficiently under deadlines and pressure while maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment.
