Job Title: Patient Service Representative for Abrazo Parkway Clinic
Position Overview:
The Patient Service Representative plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the front office in a medical setting. This non-exempt position is essential for facilitating effective communication and service delivery within the physician practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold and promote the mission, vision, and values of Tenet Florida Physician Services, L.L.C.
- Ensure compliance with the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and maintain confidentiality as per the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement.
- Support the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program by understanding compliance responsibilities as outlined in the Code of Conduct, and adhering to relevant federal and state regulations.
- Welcome patients as they arrive at the practice, providing a friendly and professional first impression.
- Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, confirm existing appointments, and handle rescheduling as needed.
- Facilitate patient check-in processes, accurately collecting demographic information and verifying insurance details.
- Assist with patient check-out, including referral processing and scheduling follow-ups.
- Collect co-payments and accurately post charges to patient accounts.
- Perform charge entry and manage patient balance inquiries.
- Disseminate information regarding office policies, procedures, and general practice information to patients.
- Guide patients through the enrollment process for the patient portal.
- Take on additional responsibilities as required to support the team and practice operations.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of one year of customer service experience, ideally within a healthcare or medical office environment.
Certifications: None required.
Note: This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus for new hires only.
