Registered Nurse for Long Term Care Facilities

Compensation: $2,000/week

The Long Term Care Registered Nurse is responsible for the comprehensive delivery of nursing care to patients residing in Long Term Care and Assisted Living environments. This role requires the nurse to demonstrate effective clinical judgment and critical thinking skills while coordinating patient care with supervision. The nurse is accountable for adhering to established nursing standards and plays a vital role in managing patient care and supporting colleagues in their responsibilities.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in Long Term Care settings.
  • Conducts focused assessments to identify patient needs.
  • Monitors physiological and psychological changes in patients' conditions.
  • Collects and analyzes data from healthcare team members, documenting nursing diagnoses.
  • Develops and documents patient care plans based on identified nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes.
  • Implements interventions according to established priorities and facility policies.
  • Ensures a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
  • Initiates and evaluates educational efforts for patients and families.
  • Employs clinical judgment to prioritize patient care needs on assigned units.
  • Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the care environment and equipment.
  • Engages in effective communication with facility staff to promote collaborative care.
  • Adheres to professional standards and regulations in nursing practice.
  • Performs additional duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse License in the applicable state.
  • Compliance with relevant professional nursing standards.
  • Completion of Amergis' Competency program as required.
  • Current CPR certification, if applicable.
  • Health documentation as per contract or state regulations.
  • Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.
  • Proficiency in computer usage.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
