The Long Term Care Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for overseeing and delivering high-quality care to patients in Long Term Care and Assisted Living environments. This role requires the nurse to demonstrate sound clinical judgment and critical thinking skills while coordinating patient care effectively. The RN is accountable for adhering to nursing standards and managing patient care while supporting other staff in their responsibilities.

  • Pay Rate: $50/hour
  • Shifts: 2nd and 3rd shifts available

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in Long Term Care/Assisted Living settings.
  • Conducts focused assessments to identify patient needs.
  • Monitors and evaluates physiological and psychological changes in patients' conditions.
  • Collects and analyzes data from healthcare team members, documenting nursing diagnoses.
  • Develops and documents patient care plans based on nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes.
  • Implements interventions in accordance with established priorities and facility policies.
  • Ensures a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
  • Initiates and assesses patient and family education.
  • Employs clinical judgment to prioritize patient care needs.
  • Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the care environment and equipment.
  • Facilitates effective communication within the healthcare team.
  • Adheres to professional nursing standards and regulations.
  • Performs additional duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse License in the applicable state.
  • Compliance with relevant professional standards of practice.
  • Participation in Amergis' Competency program as required.
  • Current CPR certification as applicable.
  • Health documentation as required by state regulations.
  • Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.
  • Proficiency in computer usage.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
