Job Summary

Ryder System is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Mobile Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform system checks, including power to compressor, visual inspection of condenser, belt tension, etc.
  • Conduct road tests to identify cause of complaints for repairs and ensure quality of repair work performed.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including tire inspections, brake checks, and lubrication of throw-out bearings and linkage.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical system issues, including cranking systems, lighting systems, and electrical accessories.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy-duty and medium-duty equipment.
  • Vocational or technical certification in a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Proven hands-on mechanic, customer service, and account management skills.
  • Flexibility to operate in a fast-paced environment and ability to work independently.
