Job Title: Controller - Healthcare

BayMark Health Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, the Controller will be responsible for overseeing all finance, treasury, accounting, and reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.
  • Coordinate all audit and tax activity with our independent firm(s).
  • Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Assist leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process.
  • Support the CFO in engaging the board's audit and finance committees around issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery.
  • Oversee all financial, project/program, and grant accounting.
  • Ensure that expenditures are consistently aligned with grant and program budgets throughout the grant/fund period.
  • Manage organizational cash flow forecasting by working in partnership with the program vice presidents and financial analysis staff.
  • Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures and ensure appropriate internal controls are in place in all of our programs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a BA; CPA required. MBA preferred.
  • 7-10 years prior accounting and finance experience.
  • Multi-state healthcare environment experience which bills Medicaid and commercial insurance for reimbursement.
  • Experience with grant programs is beneficial.
  • Experience with Great Plains.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle large volume of detail work accurately and efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices.
  • Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers.
  • Satisfactory criminal background check.
