About the Job

The Supply Chain and Operations (SCO) Department at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, invites applications for two Senior Lecturer positions in Supply Chain and Operations Management. These positions are full-time, non-tenure track, nine-month appointments with a preferred starting date.

Job Responsibilities
  • Teaching, advising, and mentoring students within the SCO Department across courses in undergraduate and master's degrees (MS in Supply Chain Management and MBA Full-Time and Part-Time programs).
  • Supporting the teaching and service mission of the SCO Department, including courses in topics such as Transportation and Logistics, Managing Technologies in the Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing, Quality Management, Lean and Six Sigma, Sales, Inventory, Operations and Planning (SIOP), Business Statistics, Data Analytics in Managing Supply Chains, Project Management, Global Operations Strategy, Responsible Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Finance, and Supply Chain Risk and Security.
  • Mentoring, advising, educating, and exciting students about supply chain, participation on committees, developing curriculum, and active involvement in partnerships with the business community.
Qualifications
  • A terminal degree plus at least 10 years of related industry and/or academic experience, or a Master's Degree plus at least 15 years of related industry and/or academic experience.
  • Teaching experience in a University or corporate setting in the supply chain and operations management area, relevant industry experience, and a desire to build and support University-industry connections and programs.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
