Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a Systems Engineer to become part of our Room Experience team. This team is dedicated to assisting clients in developing innovative and efficient work environments through cutting-edge Audio Visual technologies. We collaborate with leading solution providers such as Cisco, Crestron, Genetec, Axis, Poly, VMware, Palo Alto, Microsoft, and many other top technology manufacturers to create integrated solutions that ensure maximum reliability, security, performance, and scalability. The Systems Engineer plays a crucial role in the design, installation, management, and commissioning of integrated media solutions.
Primary Duties
  • Plan, design, and implement Multimedia Audio Video (AV), Video Teleconferencing (VTC), Audio conferencing, and Video Display Systems (VDS), ranging from simple desktop setups to complex configurations like Video Walls and Network Operation Centers.
  • Collaborate directly with clients, architects, and consultants throughout the design and delivery phases.
  • Define system requirements through needs analysis, create Bills of Materials, and develop conceptual drawings and labor estimates for various customer projects.
  • Produce system design drawings, including audiovisual system diagrams, architectural layouts, and operational capabilities narratives.
  • Prepare a cables and connectors Bill of Materials post-project award, detailing cable pulls, lengths, quantities of connectors, and miscellaneous components for project completion.
  • Troubleshoot commercial system programming and provide onsite startup and debugging support.
  • Offer telephone support as needed.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player dedicated to client success and takes pride in their work. Required qualifications include:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial AV design and large-scale AV implementation.
  • Proficient understanding of low voltage communication systems, including Analog and Digital Audio processing and standard and high-definition video.
  • Experience in reviewing bid documents for evaluating and preparing equipment take-offs, assessing design integrity, and scope of work descriptions.
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to analyze situations using logical reasoning.
  • Proficiency in system design software such as D-Tools, Visio, or similar applications.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
Preferred qualifications include:
  • Certifications such as CTS, CTS-I, and CTS-D, along with manufacturer certifications (e.g., Crestron DMC-E or DMC-D).
  • Experience with unified communications video systems and Cisco CUCM.
  • Knowledge of networking and firewall configurations.
  • Extensive experience in engineering conference rooms, Webcasting, IPTV, and Streaming Video systems.
  • Familiarity with Crestron Core3UI/Smart Graphics and understanding of SIMPL+ and other procedural languages.
  • Strong knowledge of Audio conferencing, Video Conferencing, and Audio DSPs (e.g., Biamp, QSC, BSS).
  • Ability to interpret Audio, Video, and Control drawings, along with Graphic Design principles.
  • Experience with HTML5 and C#.
