Job Title: Senior Construction Manager

About the Role:

The Senior Construction Manager is a key member of our Sustainability Infrastructure Building - Solutions & Technologies business at Johnson Controls. This role is responsible for the successful delivery of assigned building retrofit projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation and scheduling.
  • Manage project costs, including budgeting, forecasting, and change management.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to deliver projects successfully.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the building retrofit market, including trends, technologies, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or equivalent work-related experience.
  • Minimum of five years of direct project management experience in the building construction industry.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficient in project management software and financial accounting systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • LEED certification or PMP certification.
  • Experience with HVAC, Controls/BAS, Lighting, and Renewable Energy systems.
