Sanitation Services Coordinator

Schedule: Sunday through Thursday from 7 AM - 4 PM and/or 9 AM to 6 PM

Key Responsibilities:

We are committed to providing a clean and safe environment for our residents and guests. The following duties are essential to maintaining our high standards:

  • Maintain cleanliness in hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and common areas to ensure health standards are upheld.
  • Utilize vacuum cleaners and shampooers to clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
  • Manage waste disposal by emptying wastebaskets, cleaning ashtrays, and transporting trash to designated disposal areas.
  • Transport cleaning supplies and equipment using wheeled carts.
  • Perform floor maintenance including sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing using appropriate tools.
  • Dust and polish furniture and equipment to maintain a pristine appearance.
  • Ensure storage areas and cleaning carts are organized, stocked, and clean.
  • Clear debris from driveways, garages, and pool areas.
  • Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, applying wax and polish as needed.
  • Report maintenance issues such as burned-out lights, leaks, or broken equipment to the appropriate department.
  • Disinfect cleaning tools and supplies using germicides or steam sterilizers.
  • Dust window blinds to keep them clean and presentable.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and precautions to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Protect residents, guests, and property by observing safety measures and reporting any damage or theft.
  • Prepare meeting rooms and arrange furniture and decorations for events.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests as needed.

Work Environment:

The role is primarily conducted in a residential setting, focusing on the cleanliness of common areas while being mindful of chemical cleaning solutions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, climb stairs, and navigate tight spaces.
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds and push cleaning equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity to handle and operate cleaning equipment effectively.
  • Ability to reach and perform repetitive motions with hands and arms.

Position Type:

This is a non-exempt position (hourly) with a schedule determined by the needs of the property.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a housekeeping supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of cleaning products and proper usage.
  • Proficiency in using standard cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
