Airport Meet & Greet Agent Overview

The role of the Airport Meet & Greet Agent is crucial in ensuring a seamless experience for guests arriving at the airport. These agents are tasked with welcoming guests who have arranged transportation through the cruise line, guiding them from the airport to their designated piers or local accommodations. Proficiency in navigating both the interior and exterior areas of the airport is essential.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily briefings to gather necessary information, supplies, and to connect with team members, ensuring an understanding of daily sailing requirements and destinations.
  • Equip oneself with essential materials to provide optimal assistance to guests.
  • Welcome guests at either the baggage claim area or the designated cruise desk.
  • Confirm guest transfers against the provided manifest and notify the Supervisor or Lead of any discrepancies.
  • Assist guests in properly tagging their luggage with the required information.
  • Guide arriving guests through the terminal to secure waiting areas and transport loading zones.
  • Accurately count the number of guests boarding the transportation provided, noting any specific issues for the Supervisor or Lead.
  • In cases where guests arrive without luggage, escort them to the cruise line office to complete a missing luggage report.
  • Inform guests of the next steps upon arrival at their destination, whether it be the pier or hotel.
  • Deliver informative speeches to guests aboard the coach during arrivals or departures.
  • Record departure or arrival times of coaches in the designated area if working in the curbside loading zone.
  • Document bus and driver information as instructed by the Supervisor.
  • Maintain exceptional customer service standards, offering empathy or cheerfulness as the situation demands.
  • Respond to general inquiries accurately and pleasantly, providing relevant information regarding boarding and sailing.
  • Carry out additional job-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; current enrollment evidence for students aged 16 or 17 is also acceptable.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service, demonstrating a positive attitude.
  • Ability to perform basic data entry functions on a tablet or handheld device.
  • Clear communication skills with both peers and guests.
  • Greet each guest warmly, maintaining a positive demeanor.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Exhibit reliable attendance and comply with appearance guidelines and brand standards.

Essential Skills and Abilities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Understanding of the sales process to accurately manage credit card transactions for guest transportation.
  • A genuine passion for customer service and guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and time management to meet client expectations for transportation.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations while multitasking.
  • Demonstrated integrity in all interactions.
