Position Summary

Local Route Truck Operators (CDL A or B) play a crucial role in transporting galley equipment to and from aircraft, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Compensation & Benefits:

- Starting Pay: $29.50/hr

- Flight Privileges: Employees and their immediate family can fly on United Airlines stand-by for free, both domestically and internationally.

- Sign-on Incentive: $1,250

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely load equipment onto the truck.

• Drive to various aircraft within the airport premises.

• Unload and manage galley equipment according to established guidelines.

• Ensure that all tasks are performed in compliance with safety and sanitation standards.

• Collaborate with airline representatives during loading and unloading processes.

• Adhere to instructions and work cohesively with the Transportation team.

• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications:

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Experience:

• Up to one year of relevant experience is preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Valid U.S. driver's license required.

• CDL Class A or B is mandatory for this role.

• Some positions may require a Customs Seal from the airport authority.

Communication Skills:

• Ability to read and write for completing necessary documentation.

• Effective communication with supervisors and team members is essential.

Job Requirements:

• Flexibility in work schedule, including weekends and holidays.

• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

• Punctuality is crucial for this role.

• Compliance with company policies and procedures is expected.

• Completion of administrative tasks and paperwork is required.

Work Environment:

• Exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels is expected.

• Most duties will be performed outdoors in all weather conditions.

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and move items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds frequently during shifts.

• Regular standing, bending, and lifting during shifts of 8+ hours is required.

• Capability to work at heights of 25 feet or more, depending on aircraft.
