Nursing Executive Dean- Academic Operations- Columbus
Job Summary:We are seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Executive Dean of Academic Operations for our Columbus, Ohio campus. As the chief administrator, you will provide strategic direction and leadership to achieve academic and operational goals, cultivating a student-centric campus culture and driving positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Culture Ambassador: Champion a student-centric environment rooted in our TEACH values and Chamberlain Care, promoting optimism, a strong work ethic, and positive values that encourage high team performance and growth.
- Academic Leadership: Foster a culture of collective and collaborative accountability focused on student success, including ownership of NCLEX outcomes, positive customer service experiences for both students and colleagues, and delivering high-quality academic programs compliant with institutional standards.
- Functional Leadership: Oversee all aspects of campus operations, ensuring alignment with growth expectations and effective organizational structures, collaborating with university teams to drive initiatives that advance campus goals and drive outcomes.
- Talent Management: Support all talent acquisition and development efforts, empowering staff and ensuring they have the resources needed for success, hiring, developing, empowering, and retaining top talent through motivation and support.
- Change Management: Serve as a champion of change, motivating faculty and staff to unite around shared goals, establishing a clear and visible presence throughout the campus and staying attuned to campus activities while continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.
- Financial Oversight: Collaborate closely with the finance department to manage the campus P&L, ensuring financial targets are met and proactively addressing any issues.
- Student Lifecycle Management: Implement strategies to attract new students, monitor enrollment metrics, and optimize retention and graduation rates.
- External Outreach and Relations: Stay abreast of national and local news, legislation, and events, building strong networks within the community, including local organizations and regulatory agencies, representing the campus on advisory boards and in community outreach efforts.
- Accreditation, Approval/Compliance: Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of regulatory and accreditation requirements, ensuring that the campus meets all standards and expectations, establishing a culture of compliance with clear expectations and consequences for deviating, overseeing institutional assessments and internal audits and compliance within all areas and functions, ensuring reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Master's degree in nursing, education, or business is required; PhD is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years in nursing practice, with at least 2 years in higher education administration or as a faculty member.
- 2+ years in educational administration is required.
- Experience managing a P&L and overseeing multiple functions is preferred.
- Strong leadership and operational experience with budget responsibilities.
- Excellent collaboration, strategic agility, and emotional intelligence.
- Proven ability to think critically and solve problems effectively.
Current unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse or multi-state licensure privilege to practice nursing in the Commonwealth/State.
