We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist CRT to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare West. As a Respiratory Therapist CRT, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients of all ages. You will perform general respiratory therapy, including incentive breathing devices, aerosol therapy, chest physiotherapy, oxygen therapy, and suctioning. You will also evaluate diagnostic studies, such as bedside spirometry, pulmonary mechanics, and blood gas analysis.
Responsibilities:- Perform general respiratory therapy to all ages in accordance with age-specific criteria.
- Evaluate diagnostic studies, including bedside spirometry, pulmonary mechanics, and blood gas analysis.
- Demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the patient care team.
- Have accountability for delivering quality respiratory services and promoting a positive image of the department.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy program.
- Credentialed as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) in the state of Texas.
- 1 year of experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Current BLS Certification required.
- ACLS, PALS, and NRP preferred.
- RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT/RCP) or Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT) certification.
- State Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician or State Registered Respiratory Therapist.
