Job Title: Patient Service Representative

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team. As a Patient Service Representative, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient-centered services, ensuring quality assurance, and delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide optimal patient-centered services, supporting the imaging center front office, medical records, and technicians.
  • Execute day-to-day activities, ensuring quality assurance and customer service satisfaction.
  • Facilitate and coordinate communication between patients, family members, and staff.
  • Manage front desk, medical records, and technician assistant roles, with opportunities for growth and advancement.
  • Ensure accurate and timely registration of patient arrivals, validating demographic information and collecting out-of-pocket payments.
  • Inform patients about delays and wait times, and follow up to ensure inquiries or complaints are resolved.
  • Answer patient inquiries, investigate complaints, and direct them to supervisors or other staff members as needed.
  • Obtain and validate photo identifications and insurance cards, scanning relevant documents into patients' charts electronically.
  • Provide consent, financial, and HIPAA compliance-related documents, explaining them thoroughly to patients as needed.
  • Utilize EHR software, hardware, and programs proficiently, ensuring accurate and efficient patient data management.
  • Coordinate with interdepartmental professionals to ensure patient satisfaction, appointment scheduling, and admission/encounter.
  • Verify and dispense oral contrast and preparation instructions to patients, ensuring they receive the necessary exams.
  • Participate in medical office emergencies, summoning ambulances or EMS as needed, and assisting other staff members.
  • Manage outgoing and incoming faxes, maintaining administrative office supplies, and ensuring patient areas are stocked and organized.
  • Organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, ensuring efficient patient flow and maintaining a clean and sanitized environment.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Proficient in EHR software, hardware, and programs, with experience in medical records and front office operations.
  • Strong attention to detail, with ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 11:00am - 7:30pm.
