Job Summary

DABS, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Support Specialist. In this role, you will provide comprehensive life skills training to adults with developmental disabilities, empowering them to achieve their goals and live independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist consumers with daily activities, including light housekeeping, meal preparation, and personal hygiene routines.
  • Support consumers with medication administration, as needed.
  • Accompany consumers on outings and engage in activities that promote socialization and community integration.
  • Monitor and document changes in clients' status, ensuring their well-being and safety.
  • Collaborate with internal and external professionals to provide comprehensive support services.
Requirements
  • CPR certification (DABS, Inc. can provide resources for certification).
  • Recent TB test (DABS, Inc. can provide resources for testing).
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is beneficial but not required.
  • Valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and insurance (for roles requiring driving).
  • Pass a federal and state fingerprint background check.
