About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of non-invasive vascular exams, including vascular ultrasound, M-mode, 2-dimensional, color Doppler, pulsed Doppler, and continuous-wave Doppler.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality ultrasound exams on adult and pediatric patients, recognizing and describing abnormal findings.
  • Operate various stationary and portable equipment and imaging systems, adjusting settings to optimize image quality.
  • Prepare and position patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the exam.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and vascular surgeons to provide accurate and timely test results.
  • Assist in the training of technologists, fellows, and students, as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate records and statistics, and ensure equipment is properly maintained and repaired.
Requirements
  • Registered Vascular Technologist Certification (RVT)
  • 5 years of experience as a vascular technologist in a hospital or dedicated lab, with 2 years of experience in diagnostic ultrasound.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • A.R.D.M.S. certification and current BLS certification.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited vascular or ultrasound school.
  • A.R.D.M.S. certification in at least two specialties.
