Job Summary

The University of California, Irvine is seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of non-invasive vascular exams, including vascular ultrasound and general ultrasound procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Perform non-invasive vascular exams, including vascular ultrasound and general ultrasound procedures
  • Recognize and describe abnormal findings, following protocols and tailoring procedures to provide comprehensive exams
  • Prepare and position patients, adjust equipment to best demonstrate areas of interest, and operate various stationary and portable equipment and imaging systems
  • Assist in the training of technologists, fellows, and students as assigned
  • Maintain equipment and log all reported repairs
  • Provide written impressions for radiologists and vascular surgeons
Requirements
  • Registered Vascular Technologist Certification (RVT)
  • 5 years of experience as a vascular technologist in a hospital or dedicated lab and 2 years of experience in diagnostic ultrasound
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • A.R.D.M.S. certification
  • Current BLS certification
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited vascular or ultrasound school
  • A.R.D.M.S. in at least two specialties
