About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a Vascular Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of non-invasive vascular exams, including vascular ultrasound, M-mode, 2-dimensional, color Doppler, pulsed Doppler, and continuous-wave Doppler.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Imaging: Perform high-quality ultrasound exams on adult and pediatric patients, including vascular ultrasound, M-mode, 2-dimensional, color Doppler, pulsed Doppler, and continuous-wave Doppler.
  • Exam Preparation: Prepare and position patients, adjust equipment to best demonstrate area of interest, operate various stationery and portable equipment and imaging systems.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of patient exams, including statistics and record keeping.
  • Training and Development: Assist in the training of technologists, fellows, and students as assigned.
Requirements
  • Certification: Registered Vascular Technologist Certification (RVT) and A.R.D.M.S. certification.
  • Experience: 5 years experience as a vascular technologist in a hospital or dedicated lab and two years experience in diagnostic ultrasound.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System, and ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited vascular or ultrasound school.
  • Certification: A.R.D.M.S. in at least two specialties.
