About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of non-invasive vascular exams, including vascular ultrasound, M-mode, 2-dimensional, color Doppler, pulsed Doppler, and continuous-wave Doppler.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality ultrasound exams on adult and pediatric patients, including vascular and general ultrasound procedures
  • Recognize and describe abnormal findings, following established protocols and tailoring the procedure to provide a comprehensive exam
  • Prepare and position patients, adjust equipment to best demonstrate the area of interest, and operate various stationary and portable equipment and imaging systems
  • Assist in the training of technologists, fellows, and students as assigned, and maintain equipment and log all reported repairs
  • Provide written impressions for the radiologist and vascular surgeons, and display professional conduct at all times in interactions with staff members, patients, and visitors
Requirements
  • Registered Vascular Technologist Certification (RVT)
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
  • 5 years of experience as a vascular technologist in a hospital or dedicated lab and 2 years of experience in diagnostic ultrasound
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • A.R.D.M.S. certification and current BLS certification
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload and competent with various exams, including NICU, Vascular surgery, Elastography, and more
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited vascular or ultrasound school
  • A.R.D.M.S. in at least two specialties
