Compensation Program Manager Role

The Compensation Program Manager plays a critical role in maintaining and running the operations of compensation programs across Oscar, ensuring they align with market best practices and support the company's growth strategy. This position requires strong project management skills, advanced Excel expertise, and a deep understanding of job architecture and market data analysis.

About the Job
  • Maintain and run the operations of compensation programs, including broad-based compensation planning, sales compensation, annual bonus plans, and equity studies.
  • Communicate compensation philosophy and programs to employees, ensuring transparency and understanding while educating other People Team members on their roles within these programs.
  • Act as the point of contact and project manager for compensation-related initiatives, liaising with Finance teams to ensure accurate support for budgeting, headcount planning, and bonus accruals processes.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of compensation plan performance and effectiveness, guiding recommendations for enhancements and changes based on market best practices and Oscar's current needs.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain and execute compensation programs, encompassing broad-based compensation planning, sales compensation, annual bonus plans, and equity studies.
  2. Ensure employee understanding of compensation philosophy and programs, promoting transparency and education among People Team members.
  3. Function as the primary point of contact and project manager for compensation-related initiatives, fostering collaboration with Finance teams for seamless integration.
  4. Regularly evaluate and refine compensation plan performance, informing strategic recommendations for improvements and adjustments.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in compensation planning and analysis at a public company.
  • Demonstrated project management expertise, coupled with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, enabling the creation of complex models and robust analyses.
  • Proficiency in job architecture and market data analysis, driving informed compensation decisions.
  • 2+ years of Workday experience.
Salary Information

The estimated annual salary range for this role is $113,600 - $149,100 (California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington) or $102,240 - $134,190 (all other locations), accompanied by comprehensive benefits, unlimited vacation opportunities, and potential annual bonuses.
