Ampact is on the lookout for dedicated individuals to join our ranks as Housing Support Specialists. In this position, you will assist individuals facing housing challenges in their pursuit of stable living conditions. As a valued member of our AmeriCorps initiative, you will gain essential training and professional growth opportunities while contributing positively to your community.
Key Responsibilities
- Support individuals in navigating obstacles to secure housing
- Guide clients through available social services and benefits
- Establish strong connections to enhance clients' confidence and capabilities
- Engage in continuous training and development sessions
- Acquire practical experience within the social services field
- Reliable with a proven track record of attendance
- Basic computer proficiency
- Fluent in English
- Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be a citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
- Successful completion of a background check
As a member of Ampact, you will receive a bi-weekly stipend. You may also qualify for an Education Award, health insurance, and childcare support depending on your weekly commitment.
