Program Support Specialist

Job Summary:

The Program Support Specialist will play a critical role in providing individualized support and coordination of services to members participating in supplemental benefit services. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide outreach and support to members, including scheduling services and communicating with care coordinators and community agencies.
  • Assist with administrative duties, such as office and program support, data entry, and record keeping.
  • Compile program information into report form and monitor and maintain record keeping and filing systems.
  • Assist in the creation and coordination of program marketing efforts and materials.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; two-year technical degree in Business, Accounting, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in human/social service, healthcare, and/or older adult service required.
  • Completion of Community Health Worker certificate program at an accredited Minnesota institution preferred.
  • Multilingual abilities preferred.
  • Ability to work with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds with care and compassion.
  • Training in computer skills, bookkeeping, and accounts receivable, computer spreadsheets, and word processing required.
  • Skills include organizational skills, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Knowledge of resources available in program participant's community preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
