About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to join our team at Master Halco, a leading manufacturer and distributor of fencing and perimeter security products. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing safety programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health and safety plans and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Coordinate with the Training Department to develop and implement health and safety training curriculum.
  • Develop and deliver new-employee health and safety orientations.
  • Review and create company safety policies as needed.
  • Recommend process and product safety features to protect workers from hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.
  • Inspect and audit facilities, machinery, fire prevention, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards.
  • Investigate accidents or injuries to determine causes and recommend preventive measures.
  • Maintain safety files and records.
  • Review plans and specifications to ensure safety requirements are met for new machinery or equipment.
  • Maintain or update emergency response plans or procedures.
  • Lead and participate in Safety Committees.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in safety, preferably in an industrial setting.
  • Bachelor's degree or above.
  • OSHA training authorizations (511 and 501 for General Industry) strongly preferred.
  • ASP or CSP certifications a plus.
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Ability to deliver training both in person and virtually.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
