Job Title: Food Safety Manager

Meduri Farms is seeking a highly skilled Food Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety across our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive food safety programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations, including FSC22000 standards, HACCP, and other related programs.
  • Train all members of the quality department in food safety procedures and protocols.
  • Conduct rigorous internal audits that simulate external audits to ensure preparedness and compliance.
  • Actively participate in all external food safety audits, serving as the point of contact and ensuring all requirements are met.
  • Lead investigations into any food safety incidents, ensuring a thorough analysis and effective resolution.
  • Implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents and maintain food safety standards.
  • Review and update all food safety-related documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the latest regulations and company policies.
  • Oversee the management of all necessary records, including pest control programs, vendor approvals, and compliance documentation.
  • Lead the recall team, ensuring the team is prepared and equipped to handle any recalls efficiently.
Requirements:
  • B.S. Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a food safety or quality management role, with experience managing others.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and train teams.
Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position that requires regular travel to visit audit suppliers (about 30% of the time). The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
