Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate In-Home Support Specialist to join our team at The Arc Eastern Connecticut. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in facilitating the independence and well-being of individuals with developmental and physical disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal care, and transportation.
  • Support individuals in developing life skills, such as communication, health, and recreation.
  • Collaborate with participants, families, and providers to ensure a positive and supportive environment.
  • Provide advocacy and support to participants based on their individual needs and preferences.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with participants, families, and providers.
Requirements
  • Prior experience working with individuals with developmental and physical disabilities is preferred.
  • Ability to mentor and assist individuals in all areas of life skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic computer aptitude and proficiency in English.
