Family Support Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Support Specialist to join our team at Cambridge Health Alliance. As a key member of our Children's Health Initiative, you will play a vital role in bringing a family perspective to our clinical teams providing pediatric integrated care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support families in their engagement with clinical care, assisting them to access community resources and informal supports.
  • Represent the family voice in various settings, including clinical teams and leadership levels.
  • Develop and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with families, caregivers, and clinical team members.
  • Utilize strong written and oral communication skills to effectively communicate with families and clinical teams.
  • Familiarity with computers and data entry is required.
  • Prior experience advocating for families is preferred but not required.

Requirements:

  • Lived experience as a parent or caregiver of a child with mental health care needs is required.
  • Direct caregiver/guardian of or for a child with a mental health diagnosis.
  • Ability to represent family voice in a variety of settings.
  • Positive interpersonal presence as a team member.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Familiarity with computers and data entry.
