Key Responsibilities- Food Cost Management: Develop and implement strategies to manage food costs, ensuring optimal profitability and minimizing waste.
- Culinary Team Leadership: Train, manage, and supervise kitchen personnel, ensuring effective coordination of culinary activities and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Inventory Management: Record and analyze inventory levels, estimating food consumption and requisitioning or purchasing food as needed.
- Menu Planning and Development: Support menu planning, implement specials, and select and develop recipes to ensure consistent quality and presentation.
- Equipment Maintenance and Safety: Ensure proper equipment operation, maintenance, and safety protocols are in place, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Catering and Events: Oversee special catering events and provide culinary instruction and demonstrations as needed.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; culinary arts degree preferred.
- Certifications: SERV Safe certification or HACCP knowledge required.
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a related position, with strong leadership and customer service skills.
- Skills: Advanced knowledge of food production principles and practices, experiential knowledge of management and problem-solving, and excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills.
