Job Title: Archaeologist

Eocene Environmental Group is seeking a highly skilled Archaeologist to join our team. As an Archaeologist, you will be responsible for conducting cultural resources inventory, documenting archaeological sites, and evaluating resources for National Register of Historic Places eligibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Class III cultural resources inventory
  • Document archaeological sites and IOs/IFs
  • Evaluate resources for NRHP-eligibility
  • Perform background and archival research
  • Deliverables coordination and reviews
  • Deliverables submissions to agencies
  • Proposal writing and budgeting
  • Write monitoring and DPR 523 forms
Requirements:
  • Has completed coursework leading to a degree in archaeology, anthropology, or related field
  • Must be Oregon Qualified Archaeologist
  • Ability to be listed on agency permits as Field Technician/Monitor/Lead/Specialist
  • Proficient in prehistoric and/or historic archaeology in the designated region
  • Proficient in documenting archaeological sites and IOs/IFs in the designated region
Preferred Experience:
  • Proficiency in using tablets to document cultural resources
  • Proficiency with sub-meter GPS receiver
  • Proficiency with ArcGIS Field Maps and Survey123 applications
