Comprehensive Eye Care Specialist for Veterans

Are you a licensed Optometrist or Ophthalmologist seeking a meaningful, part-time opportunity? MRG Exams is looking for professionals to conduct comprehensive eye exams for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA's SHA process.
This non-treating, non-determination role focuses solely on assessments, allowing you to support those who served through your expertise. As a key member of our team, you will:
- Review Veterans' medical records through a secure web portal.
- Perform thorough eye exams, including Visual Field Testing (VFT).
- Complete and submit evaluation forms via the web portal within 24 hours of the exam.
- Support Those Who Served: Make a difference in the lives of Veterans by assisting with their healthcare assessments.
- Flexible Work Schedule: Part-time commitment of one day per week, Wednesdays 8a-4p.
- Professional Focus: No treatment or determination responsibilities – your expertise focuses on assessments.
- Independent Contractor: Enjoy autonomy in a 1099 role.
The ideal candidate is:
- A licensed Optometrist or Ophthalmologist.
- Proficient in Visual Field Testing (VFT).
- Credentialed to meet the VA's requirements.
- Possess a passion for serving Veterans.
- Skilled in analyzing medical records and exam findings to create accurate, timely reports.
- Exceptional in both written and oral communication.
- Detail-oriented and capable of submitting forms within required timelines.
Estimated Salary: $75-$100 per hour, depending on location and experience.
