Medical Assessment Specialist for United States Veterans

Medford, Oregon, United States MRG Exams Full time

As a Medical Assessment Specialist with MRG Exams, you will have the rewarding opportunity to serve the Veteran community by performing medical assessments as part of the VA's disability benefits process.

This is an in-person role that requires reviewing medical records electronically and conducting focused physical exams on each Veteran. You will then document your findings electronically through a web portal, without making any disability determinations – this is the responsibility of the United States Veterans Administration.

The ideal candidate will be interested in performing independent medical assessments, able to analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions. Strong time management skills are also essential, as you will need to stay on task and meet requirements while working with a set schedule during normal business hours, never being on call.

A current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license is mandatory, and proficiency in using a computer is also required. In return, you will receive training and continued support, as well as health insurance options and a computer supplied by the company.

A typical day involves working with 3-5 patients, and all work is performed in a clinical setting. If you are looking for a challenging yet fulfilling role where you can make a real difference in the lives of United States Veterans, then this may be the perfect opportunity for you.

We estimate the salary for this role to be around $120,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. This figure is subject to change and may not reflect the actual salary offered by the company.
