Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Community Support Coordinator to join our team. As a coordinator, you will be responsible for working with families to provide prenatal and postpartum education and home-based school-readiness services on a weekly basis to enhance knowledge of maternal and child development.

You will partner with families to implement an age-appropriate curriculum for the newborn and develop Family Partnership Agreements, and provide social services including referrals, advocacy and crisis intervention, parent involvement, and biweekly socializations in accordance with federal, state, and program guidelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must have strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Must be willing to recruit in the Newark and Irvington areas.
  • The skill to deal with sensitive family situations in a non-threatening and professional manner.
  • Ability to work as a team member, collaborate with staff, parents, and community resources.
  • Have the ability to apply Infant/Toddler Development theory in daily activities while adapting to the individual needs of children.
  • Respond appropriately to an emergency or a crisis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills, internet, and e-mail.
  • Pediatric CPR & First Aid Certified (training provided).
