**Job Summary**
The Data Delivery Specialist will be responsible for the setup of building automation control systems, including creating custom programming, graphics, and trends. This role will frequently interact with clients, contractors, and engineers to fulfill the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a data delivery lead, this position will perform, coordinate, and manage tasks associated with the execution of the data delivery process, which is the process used to implement Bernhard Connect on individual projects. This person will also contribute to project development and internal improvement efforts.
**Data Delivery Duties**
1. Execute the data delivery process on projects as an individual contributor.
2. Track progress of individual tasks and coordinate with other project resources that may be executing the data delivery process.
3. Coordinate and track client coordination processes such as IT and security review.
4. Participate in site visits to collect data and install devices.
5. Perform some project management tasks such as scope, schedule, and budget tracking.
6. Contribute to project development by drafting initial scopes of work and pricing for new projects.
7. Work with Leadership to ensure that data delivery processes are correctly resourced per the established budgets and schedule.
8. Occasionally direct the work of team members and sub-consultants to ensure project objectives are met.
9. Track and report data delivery execution against budget in terms of schedule adherence, deliverables, cost, and revenue.
10. Occasionally manage internal initiatives such as process or automation development.
**Retro-Commissioning**
1. Assess existing building automation systems to identify opportunities for improvement.
2. Develop basic sequence of operations to improve energy efficiency of building HVAC equipment.
3. Create Room Ventilation Schedules based on applicable code requirements.
4. Program and implement new sequence of operations.
**Design and Pre-Construction**
1. Conduct field survey to identify existing equipment types and building automation system capabilities.
2. Produce design documents including drawings, programming instructions, and specifications for design projects.
**Construction**
1. Complete start-up of control systems including setting up trends, graphics, and programming.
2. Program basic sequence of operations for new equipment.
3. Assist with the commissioning process as required.
**Other**
1. Uphold Bernhard's owner advocacy philosophy, mission, and core values.
2. Perform the assigned duties with minimal supervision, while working in a team problem-solving environment.
3. Assist with the development of technical reports or related documents.
4. Other duties as assigned or required.
**Requirements**
**Education**
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or related field.
**Experience**
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary.
Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
**Preferred Qualifications**
Registered Engineering Intern (EI) licensure.
Programming experience in VBA or Python.
Building Automation System programming experience. Preferred systems include Siemens, JCI, Honeywell, Trane, Struxureware, and Tridium.
Experience with HVAC design, commissioning, or retro-commissioning.
