New York, New York, United States Amazon, Inc. Full time

Join Amazon's Supply Chain Team

At Amazon Supply Chain, we drive the world's most rapidly expanding e-commerce platform, committed to our vision of being the most customer-focused organization on the planet.

As our operations grow increasingly intricate, we are on the lookout for a skilled Operational Excellence Analyst to design and oversee an end-to-end process that encompasses input utilization, forecast validation, and integration planning for downstream teams.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a pioneering team that is building innovative solutions from the ground up.

You will analyze cross-functional dependencies, chart the current process flow, and propose enhancements for the future state of our operations.

Additionally, you will adeptly manage data solutions and tools to challenge input providers and substantiate final forecast hedges to senior stakeholders, including Directors.

Your role will involve leading collaborations with business, product management, and engineering teams to drive operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a streamlined process for forecast consumption, transformation, and clarity as an individual contributor.
  • Manage advanced visualization tools to enable business and technical stakeholders to analyze and comprehend team forecasts.
  • Collaborate with leaders across various teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

About the Team:

The Network Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) team is responsible for forecasting all inventory movements throughout the North America Fulfillment network. We oversee everything from vendor and seller receipts to shipments from our Fulfillment Centers (FCs).

The S&OP forecast serves as the foundation for a weekly planning process that encompasses first, middle, and last-mile logistics, determining the necessary resources (trucks, labor) to fulfill customer orders with optimal speed, quality, cost, and environmental impact.

We work closely with Supply Chain Optimization Technology (SCOT) teams in North America and internal technology stakeholders across Transportation, Labor Planning, and Finance to reconcile inputs and create forecasts that are as accurate and explainable as possible.

Furthermore, we partner with Supply Chain Execution (SCE) teams and scientific partners to establish optimal resource allocation across the nine regions of the U.S. fulfillment network.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in program or project management.
  • 3+ years of experience in defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (including Pivot Tables and VLookUps) and SQL.
  • Experience utilizing data and metrics to identify and drive improvements.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • 3+ years of experience in driving process improvements.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, engaging with multiple stakeholders at various organizational levels.
  • Experience in building processes, project management, and scheduling.
