Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Spring Footwear Corp. As a key member of our retail store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, driving sales results, and supporting the Store Manager in leading the day-to-day operations of the store.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide world-class customer service to our guests, ensuring a positive and memorable shopping experience.
  • Sales Performance: Drive sales results by using incentives, communicating success, and promoting our brand.
  • Store Operations: Support the Store Manager in leading the day-to-day operations of the store, including personnel management, training, merchandising, store operations, marketing execution, and display maintenance.
  • Team Leadership: Partner with the Store Manager to drive a successful and positive culture of sales and performance for all associates.
  • Recruitment and Development: Participate in all areas of store recruitment, with a focus on retaining and assisting in the development of talent for the store.
  • Performance Management: Responsible for all performance management and employee relations issues within the store in the absence or at the direction of the Store Manager.
  • Loss Prevention: Follow all policies and procedures related to loss and shrinkage.
  • Merchandising: Ensure proper merchandising of products per company directives.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of associates, guests, and partners.

Key Outputs/Results:

  • Sales Culture: Drive a sales culture by using incentives, communicating success, and promoting our brand.
  • Productivity Targets: Use daily productivity targets to deliver correct staffing levels in store and communicate goals to all associates.
  • Store Asset Security: Ensure store asset security through adherence to risk management policy, following daily bank deposit process, open and closing procedures, store balance and compliance policies, required stock counts, and inventory.
  • Initiative Implementation: Drive the implementation of key and new initiatives within the store to achieve selling and marketing objectives.
  • Customer Service: Provide world-class customer service and facilitate the same within the store's sales team.

Essential Knowledge, Experience & Competencies:

  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the footwear or fashion industry and retail sector is a plus.
  • Experience: 1 year prior retail experience.
  • Sales and Service Execution: Proven track record of sales and service execution.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency with basic software and experience using POS.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to problem-solve to achieve excellent customer service.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to carry 40 pounds, climb an 8-foot ladder, stand for long periods of time, and bend as necessary.
  • Flexibility: Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Values people, genuinely engages with others, and forms positive connections inside and outside of the organization.
