Position Overview:

Soliant is looking for a committed and proficient Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our educational team. The successful candidate will be dedicated to fostering effective communication skills among students and will collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to promote student achievement.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Perform thorough speech and language evaluations to determine students' requirements. Utilize assessment findings to create tailored Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and therapeutic strategies.
  • Therapeutic Services: Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students experiencing communication challenges. Implement evidence-based methodologies to improve students' speech, language, and overall communication skills.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with classroom instructors, special education personnel, and other professionals to weave speech and language objectives into the educational framework. Engage in multidisciplinary team discussions to evaluate student progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
  • IEP Management: Formulate, execute, and oversee IEPs for students with speech and language requirements. Ensure that goals are customized to meet each student's specific needs and are regularly assessed and revised.
  • Parental Involvement: Maintain communication with parents and guardians to update them on their child's development and provide strategies for supporting speech and language growth at home. Offer resources and advice to assist families in enhancing their child's communication abilities.
  • Record Keeping: Keep precise and current documentation of therapy sessions, assessments, and progress reports. Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations and standards.
  • Ongoing Learning: Remain informed about the latest practices and innovations in speech-language pathology. Engage in continuous professional development and training opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Valid state license in Speech-Language Pathology. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is advantageous.
  • Experience: Experience in a school environment is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with a variety of speech and language disorders is beneficial.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Capacity to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of educators and professionals. Proficiency in assessment tools and the development of individualized therapy plans.
