We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Menasha Packaging. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Safety and Quality: Demonstrate a commitment to safety and quality by performing job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures, and adhering to GMP guidelines.
- Vendor Management: Ensure that vendors follow Menasha Contractor Safety guidelines and stay current on annual orientation.
- Work Orders: Provide ongoing communication regarding work orders in process and status of various projects, and complete scheduled work orders electronically and monitor results.
- Cleaning: Ensure weekly Maintenance cleaning is complete and paperwork signed, including Maintenance Office, mezzanine, and maintenance storage locations.
- Communication: Enhance internal and external department communication towards a cohesive work environment, discuss maintenance concerns with maintenance supervisor and lead, and proactively communicate problems encountered to applicable areas.
- Maintenance/Troubleshooting: Provide Electrical/Mechanical troubleshooting, perform preventative maintenance duties, and provide accurate documentation of such duties.
- Lean Manufacturing: Actively participate in Lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Education/Certifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent, Certified Millwright Maintenance Journeyman, Electromechanical Degree or equivalent strongly desired.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Safety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner, ability to work overtime and weekends as required, ability to work on a rotating shift as needed, ability to effectively work in teams, ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people, ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles, exceptional interpersonal skills/leadership experience, extensive technical knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment, mechanical aptitude, strong math skills, computer ability, strong troubleshooting skills, metal fabrication skills, printing background preferred.
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $32-$39/hour based on experience and licensure, and are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
