The State of Oregon is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Minor Decoy Agent in our Eugene Regional Office.
As a Minor Decoy Agent, you will work closely with Regulatory Specialists to ensure that licensed businesses are complying with state regulations regarding the sale of alcohol and marijuana products to minors.
- You will accompany Regulatory Specialists on compliance checks to licensed premises, where you will attempt to purchase alcohol or marijuana products using a valid ID.
- You will select or request regulated products and provide valid identification to the clerk if asked.
- You will communicate verbally and document in writing the results of the compliance checks, including any findings or issues.
- You will prepare and present documents needed for contested case hearings and testify on behalf of the Commission at administrative law hearings and/or in criminal court.
Requirements:
- You must be a high school student or a college student currently enrolled in a field of study related to law enforcement or a related field.
- You must be between the ages of 18-20 years old at the time of hire.
