We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Superintendent to join our team at JE Dunn Construction. As a key member of our operations team, you'll play a critical role in delivering complex construction projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

About the Role

The General Superintendent will be responsible for leading and managing a team of construction professionals to deliver projects from initial planning to completion. You'll oversee all aspects of project execution, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the satisfaction of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of construction professionals to deliver projects from initial planning to completion.
  • Oversee all aspects of project execution, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
  • Ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the satisfaction of our clients.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Manage and coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered to the highest quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of construction experience, with a minimum of 10 years of field supervision experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex construction projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of construction professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles and construction management best practices.
